I am a hairdresser hussy, shamelessly flitting from one salon to the next in search of the perfect relationship with a stylist who, like, totally gets my hair… Well after many years of searching I think I may have found The One. Her name is, well… should I tell you? I think I won’t, but she works at the Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden and she managed to turn my lifeless mop into something to be proud of.

A great hairdresser needs to be able to listen to their client, and really hear what they’re saying – what are their concerns? Their hopes and dreams for their hair? How important is it to their personal sense of style, their identity even? If they ask for something truly dreadful, that won’t suit them in a million years; the hairdresser has to find a way of gently but firmly suggesting that this might not be the best thing for their hair. If they insist, they must find a solution that won’t compromise their hairdressing principles, but will still satisfy the customer.

While my hairdresser was trimming, shaping and styling my lacklustre locks, she explained that they were suffering from a build up of product. UEFA To Take Disciplinary Action Against Real Madrid, Barcelona

It has been revealed that Uefa will take disciplinary action against Real Madrid and Barcelona following Wednesday’s stormy Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu.

Barcelona’s 2-0 first-leg win over Real was marred by incidents on and off the pitch.

Real have been charged in relation to Pepe’s sending off, Jose Mourinho’s dismissal to the stands, throwing missiles on the pitch, a pitch invasion and Mourinho’s inappropriate statement to the media after the game.

Barcelona have been charged for the red card picked up by substitute keeper Jose Pinto following a bust-up between both benches at the end of the first half.

Both cases will be heard by Uefa’s disciplinary board on 6th May.

   Transfer news from the Serie A is out and it has been revealed that Mathieu Flamini has backed AC Milan’s move for Olympique Marseille fullback Taye Taiwo.

The French international midfielder came through the ranks at Marseille and rates the club and its players highly.

“He would be a great addition,” Flamini told Mediaset.

“He is physically strong and gets forward a lot without neglecting the defensive part of the game.”

Asked about his own form, Flamini said: “I am happy because I have played a lot more with respect to the past.

“I feel that I have found my space and my role in this team.”

Arsenal Urged To Sign Schalke Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer

Former Tottenham boss Terry Venables urged Arsenal to buy Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Venables explained in his column for The Sun: “Wojciech Szczesny is an excellent keeper who will surely rise to the top of his field one day. But he is not there yet and nor do I believe he will be next season.

“Arsenal and the confident Pole would benefit significantly from a top-class goalkeeper above him.

“And if the club have the funds they claim they do, then they must surely do whatever they can to bring in the best. So why not splash out £30-£40million to sign Schalke’s Manuel Neuer?

“If Wenger is serious about challenging for honours then he needs to try to buy the best in every possible position.”

Italy to ban skinny models

ITALY'S government and fashion chiefs are working on a manifesto to crack down on the use of ultra-thin teenagers on the catwalk, as pressure grows on the fashion world to promote healthier looks. After Spain barred models below a certain weight from a Madrid fashion show in September, industry leaders in Argentina and now Brazil have joined a campaign to ensure models are over 16 years old and are not excessively thin.
Powerful Milan fashion houses first resisted calls to copy the Spanish regulations, with Italian National Fashion Chamber head Mario Boselli saying in September that only "maybe one girl in a hundred" could be defined as too skinny.
But after Boselli, whose lobby represents big names like Armani, Versace and Prada, met Italian Youth Minister Giovanna Melandri this week, he agreed to work with the ministry on a self regulatory code of good practice.
"Italy has an important strategic role in world fashion so we have to send a strong signal," said Flaminia Spadone, an aide to the minister.

The manifesto will be launched before the Milan women's fashion week in February, a major event in the catwalk calendar.
"We'd like fashion houses, modelling agencies, photographers and everyone working in the fashion world to sign the charter," she said.
"It would be voluntary but professional bodies could decide to impose sanctions on people who don't sign, preventing them from taking part in fashion shows."
Boselli said the charter might require women to undergo medical checks for body weight, though it would also take into account factors like genetic influences on weight.

The use of underweight models promoting the ultra-slim look has held sway in much of world fashion since the 1990s, and was epitomised by British supermodel Kate Moss.
But it has come into sharp critical focus since the death of Brazilian model Ana Carolina Resto last month from complications derived from the slimming disease anorexia. There are calls for a return to the slim but more curvaceous models of the 1980s, like Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer.
"We won't have a specific limit on body mass index as they do in Spain," said Boselli.
But Spadone said the ministry would ideally like to follow the Spanish example and impose a limit on the body mass index, which takes into account the model's height versus weight.
She said models who came under 18.5 on the index – the World Health Organisation's definition of underweight – should be banned from working for the sake of their own health.
"In the Third World, if someone has an index of less than 18.5, they send in humanitarian aide," she said.
